V. T. "Chip" Murray

 

Vincent T. “Chip” Murray’s career experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity encompasses management of 15 private funds investing in mezzanine debt and minority equity addressing capital needs of growth companies. Additionally he has managed over 50 mergers and acquisitions transactions and structured, negotiated and closed over $1 billion of debt and equity for small to mid-cap organizations.

 

In 1980 he began his career in Investment Banking with Wheat First Butcher & Singer.  Entering the field of private equity investment and fund management in 1990, he served as Managing Partner for Cordova Capital, Atlanta, Georgia ($200 million capital under management) and The Livingston Company, Chattanooga, Tennessee ($350 million capital under management) for the next 18 years before turning his attention to Private Equity Consulting and Management in 2008.

 

In 2012, Mr. Murray joined the Task Force for Business and Stability Operations (a division of the United States Department of Defense) as a Senior Investment Advisor. In that role he advised regarding strategic private equity and institutional debt invested in different regions of Afghanistan for the purpose of stimulating and growing economic activity.

 

Mr. Murray currently serves as Managing Partner of The Panda Fund, a private equity fund investing in the Entertainment Industry, and is a Managing Member of NatRE Capital, LLC. He serves on several Boards of Directors of companies in the Industrial Distribution, Digital Marketing, Publishing, Real Estate conservation and Education sectors. He is a 1975 graduate of the University of Georgia (Bachelors in Business Administration) and attended Atlanta Law School.

 

 

J. Kenneth Morrow, II

 

J. Kenneth “Ken” Morrow’s career includes direct experience of over thirty years in agricultural production, executive management of 65,000 acres of agricultural operations and land assets in Georgia and Florida for one of America’s wealthiest families, and co-founding and operating leading companies in sod production in Georgia and licensing of intellectual property in new turfgrasses domestically and internationally.

 

Ken has a life-long love of agriculture and the land and is committed to stewardship of the land through conservation of this precious resource. He also has placed three of his farms under conservation easements in recent years. Ken has consulted on projects in North and South Carolina the past two years and is involved on five projects in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from Auburn University in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Economics, respectively. Ken currently serves as Chairman of the Georgia Seed Development Commission (appointed by Lieutenant Governor Cagle) and as a member of the Governor’s Agricultural Education Advisory Commission (appointed by Governor Deal), along with serving on other agricultural industry boards.

 

Ken and his wife Pam live in Suwanee, Georgia where they enjoy spending time with their family which has expanded with the marriage of their sons and births of five grandsons. They are active in their faith, enjoying the depth of relationships resulting from shared experiences with friends in numerous ministry areas.

 

Jason Morrow

 

As the key leader guiding Trextel’s corporate strategy and vision, Jason Morrow brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and communication management and deployment. He is a successful entrepreneur with a track record for building and leading dedicated teams – founding six businesses over the course of his career – three of which have subsequently been acquired. Jason founded AUS Information Systems in 1997 which has served as a launching pad for multiple companies in the web development, IP Telephony, and WAN spaces. In 2008, Jason co-founded Trextel to meet the technology needs of enterprise customers and was named CEO in 2009.

 

A veteran entrepreneur with a heart for helping others launch and grow successful businesses, Jason is actively involved as an early stage investor.  He also serves on the board of Circle Media, an international technology company providing services in more than 25 countries around the world. Jason received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

 

Jeffrey Daniel Polk

 

Jeffrey Daniel Polk is CEO of Baxter, Stinson Polk, LLC (“BSP”) and a resident of Annapolis, Maryland. BSP is a small family office practice, specializing in Private Equity. Previously, Mr. Polk was a capital partner with Federal City Capital Advisers where he advised on multimillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions and private equity placements.

 

In 2012, he was asked to be a senior advisor to the Task Force for Business and Stability operations in rebuilding the economy of Afghanistan. Mr. Polk serves on the board of Steward Partners Global Advisory, a mid-Atlantic based financial advisory business.

 

Mr. Polk has a world-class network of active national and international investors, and political/social leaders that consider him a trusted friend and advisor. Mr. Polk attended Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.

 

 

Josh Morrow

 

Josh Morrow is an Area Manager for Super-Sod and an Owner and President of Athletic Fields, Inc. He possesses a B.S. Business Administration from Auburn University. He has been with Athletic Fields Thirteen (13) years and has been responsible for constructing fields all over the Southeast. Josh has been in the sports field and sod business most of his life, following in his father’s (Ken Morrow) footsteps, from sprigging fields in the ’90s to running Athletic Fields.

 

Josh currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Urban Ag Counsel. In addition, he is past president of the Georgia Turfgrass Association and has been a member of the Sports Turf Managers Association since 2005.
